Emily has been immersed in all aspects of athletics: as an athlete, coach, parent and fan. After suffering a low back injury in her teens and questioning if she would ever compete again, she became focused on movement training to relieve pain. Through dedication to movement training she competed 4 years as a swimmer for the University of Utah. Emily became a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in 1998. With her marriage to a college basketball coach, athletic success and the negative impact of injures became a central focus. This led to the realization that traditional exercise like swimming, cycling, running, lifting and playing your sport doesn’t guarantee a balanced healthy body. Emily sought out new training ideas like Pilates, TRX, OOV, Heart Rate training, and Periodized program design. Her professional focus switched from “no pain no gain” to efficient training, “maximize performance while minimizing of stress on the body.”
Emily has been with Pinnacle since 2017. She completed the Polestar Comprehensive Pilates course and all 3 Levels of OOV education. She can be quoted as saying “Finding Pinnacle and the Oov has been life changing. I have never been more inspired or felt better.”
