Amy holds an adjunct faculty position at the University of Utah Physical Therapy Department where she instructs a segment on Complementary Movement Therapies for the Physical Therapist and utilizes her position through the University to pursue research endeavors. She has been an invited lecturer and instructor for numerous events and physical therapy programs, asked to co-author textbook chapters, and received the Utah APTA Physical Therapist of the year award in 2005.
Early in her career, Amy noticed a desperate need to address the whole body as a clinician and desired a facility that supported that endeavor. Pinnacle Performance was born. She saw her first client in this environment in 1999 and became sole owner of Pinnacle Performance in 2004 moving its location 2 different times to now reside on 1100 East permanently by 2010. Amy is a full-time clinician/movement instructor, mentor, business owner, and educator. She has created sport-specific, functional training programs, brain and diaphragm health series, and other programs for Pinnacle where she continues to enjoy assisting both clients of rehabilitation and fitness to reach their full potential. Amy utilizes a dynamically eclectic array of manual therapy, movement, and whole-body neuromuscular techniques and theories, including many to affect changing the brain and breathing. Amy is grateful for the opportunity to share her understanding of whole-body systems integration with the community and beyond through her work at Pinnacle Performance as a clinician, and as an educator. She finds an immense amount of joy and contentment teaching and sharing her integrated approach with her colleagues and thrives while assisting her clients to reach their full potential in health and performance. Amy believes that “all” is within each of us if we only would allow ourselves to “see” our true capacity and potential as human beings.
When Amy is not at Pinnacle, she enjoys being in nature with her beautiful dogs skiing, biking, or hiking, van-life, anything near or in the ocean, music and dance, words read, spoken, or written, and good, healthy food, both growing and preparing it. She is extremely grateful for the team of amazing providers and managers who believe and participate in the vision and mission of Pinnacle Performance. Amy invites you to share in this beautiful community of like-minded and talented providers that are ready to assist you to reach your Pinnacle Performance and Pinnacle Health in 2021 and beyond.
